More than words – your feedback wanted!

We’ve been promoting the Welsh Governments ‘More Than Just Words’ (mwy na geiriau ) campaign to encourage the use of Welsh in care settings – and now we’d like to know how you are implementing the strategy, so we can feed back your views on it to the Welsh Government.

  • Do you feel you’ve been able to get across the message that speaking Welsh is a need, not a choice?
  • What small steps have you taken to increase the informal use of Welsh by front line staff to help put people at ease?

Resources and ways to encourage the use of Welsh

CFW is planning to get pocket phrase books for carers which cover general greetings and medical conditions, but these small steps can also help support staff in the use of Welsh in care settings:

    • Encrouage staff to watch the ‘More Than Words’ videos made by the Welsh Government: watch them on YouTube
