A joint study is being carried out by the Care Council for Wales and the Care and Social Services Inspectorate Wales (CSSIW) into the factors affecting care home manager recruitment and retention.
The consultants carrying out the study, Reflected Limited, will be seeking the views of managers, employers and commissioners. They will also be holding focus group sessions and developing case studies – all with the aim of better understanding how to recruit and retain excellent staff in the sector now, and in order to meet increased demand for staff in the future.
