The code of practice in relation to measuring social services performance has become the first statutory code of practice issued under the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014.

This code of practice will come into force on commencement of the Act on April 6, 2016.

Local authorities will be required to return national performance information in relation to their social services functions. This information will be reported in 2017, and replace all existing social services performance information.
