The newly-formed National Commissioning Board (NCB)– which counts Care Forum Wales policy advisor Mary Wimbury on its board – has issued its first quarterly newsletter in order to help explain its purpose and roll out its programme for the future.

The board was set up earlier in the year in order to improve the quality of commissioning in Wales and to develop effective practice in relation to integrated commissioning between local authorities and local health boards.
