Ty Machen offers an open plan kitchen/diner, large lounge, sensory/relaxation room and a further quiet room. The sun terrace surrounds the outside of the building. Ty Machen is situated in the small village of Machen, ten minutes from Caerphilly and fifteen minutes from Newport. Individuals are encouraged to access local facilities as much as possible including, swimming, bowling, cinema visits, eating out, work placements and attending college. People using the service become involved in cooking and general household duties. There is a large garden with a vegetable plot where individuals can take part in planting vegetables.
