Ty Gwyn Care Home provides residential accommodation for 34 older persons both male and female aged 65 and over. The home is not registered to provide nursing care. Ty Gwyn has three self contained areas accommodating 24 dementia service users, one unit of 8 of these beds are dedicated to the care for male service users. 11 general residential beds, with 2 rooms available for respite care.
Two of the units consist of a lounge, dining/kitchen area, bathroom with bath hoists, two toilets and eight single bedrooms, which residents are able to lock if desired.
Ty Gwyn is staffed 24 hours a day by a well motivated, trained team who will confidently assist to meet the care needs of all who stay here. Staff at Ty Gwyn enable residents to maximise their abilities and remain in control of their lives, by being helped to meet many of their needs beyond basic care.
