St. Isan (Hafod Care Association)

St Isan Home is situated in a quiet and pleasant avenue, close to the ‘village’ centre of Llanishen in North Cardiff. It is purpose built to accommodate men and women over the age of 65. Many of our residents are in their 80’s and 90’s.
All bedrooms at St Isan are individual and single with personal washing facilities within the room. Twelve of the 39 rooms are larger. We are able to accommodate married couples together when required.
St Isan has a en_main dining room and lounges – refurbished in 2000 – for 24 residents. There are also two small groups of 6 and 7 residents with their own lounge and dining room. For these groups, hot meals, prepared in the en_main kitchen are brought to the dining rooms in heated trolleys. Having smaller scale groupings of residents creates a more homely atmosphere. These two groups also have their own kitchen area with a sink, fridge, kettle and toaster etc. This enables snacks and drinks to be prepared by the residents themselves between meals if they are able to do this. In this way a greater degree of independence is retained by many residents.
