The deadline for nominations for the Wales Care Awards has been extended to April 29 – so you have just under a week to nominate some of the unsung heroes of the care industry.

The Wales Care Awards 2011, which will take place on Friday October 21 at City Hall, Cardiff, are the brainchild of Care Forum Wales which aims to raise the status of the social care profession – and emphasise the value of the many thousands of social care workers who provide such an important service across Wales.

Short-listed nominees will receive either a bronze, silver or gold Wales Care Award, invitation for themselves and a guest to the Gala Award Ceremony including free overnight accommodation at a 5* hotel.
