Following an invitation from Their Majesties, The King and Queen, three of our Wales Care Awards 2025 finalists, Carol Dight, Taurai Zimbi and Shiny Skaria, attended a special reception at Windsor Castle on Wednesday 11th February. They were proudly accompanied by Mario Kreft, Chair of Care Forum Wales.

The reception was held to shine a light on carers and to celebrate the incredible work being carried out across the caring professions, including foster carers, young carers, NHS professionals, and unpaid carers supporting loved ones within families and communities.

Everyone had the most amazing evening and described feeling truly humbled by the experience. It was an honour for them to be invited.

As you can see from these photos, they even had the opportunity to enjoy a conversation with His Majesty The King, a moment they will never forget!
