Bodlondeb is thoughtfully designed around safe central gardens in a tranquil setting surrounded by gardens and countryside. Each 8-bed unit is individually staffed, allowing a focus on a wide range of dementia and mental health needs, including functional, organic, and affective disorders. The design recognises different specialist needs, gender, and age. With lounges in each unit for relaxation, stimulation, and communal living, there is a welcoming, family-like atmosphere throughout.

It functions as a therapeutic community, offering a wide range of therapies and activities that support each individual to maintain as much independence as possible and achieve personal goals.

The staff at Bodlondeb are carefully selected for their caring and understanding nature and are highly trained and qualified across diverse areas of mental health.

A dedicated admissions unit enables staff to work closely with individuals and families to develop person-centred care plans. Accommodation is available for family members who wish to stay overnight to support the transition process. Additionally, specific respite rooms are provided, with staff who are particularly skilled in delivering short-term care.

Bodlondeb forms an important part of the wider Care Community. Together with the domiciliary community care company, Independent Living, and the Teaching Care Centre, which offers free training for family carers, Bodlondeb helps ensure the delivery of the right care, at the right time, in the right place for people of all ages.
