Cae Bryn, now part of Highfield Care Home Wrexham, was the first dementia care centre to open in 1997, providing nursing care and support for individuals with memory problems such as Alzheimer’s disease. In 2010, Bodlondeb opened in Wrexham to focus on a wide range of dementia and mental health needs for those with higher dependency. In 2015, Bryn Seiont Newydd opened in Caernarfon, allowing services to be offered across the whole of North Wales.
At Cae Bryn, the expert team of Registered Nurses, Clinical Care Practitioners, and Care Practitioners are highly experienced and selected for their caring, understanding nature, empathy, and cheerfulness. A holistic approach to care is taken, with a strong emphasis on individuality, dignity, and respect within a safe and nurturing environment. Excellent staffing levels enable residents to maintain as much independence and personal support as possible. The purpose-built accommodation is both first-class and homely, surrounded by beautiful countryside with well-maintained, safe gardens, including a multisensory garden.
Residents with high dependency needs are cared for with the appropriate facilities, experience, training, understanding, and patience to ensure sensitive and professional support. Pastimes and activities form an important part of life at Cae Bryn, with a variety of therapies and recreational opportunities designed to enrich residents’ lives. Cae Bryn also benefits from an active Family Support Group for families who wish to share their experiences and support one another.
