Cwmbran House Resource Centre (Hafod Care Association)

Cwmbran House provides residential care for 57 older persons in 3 separate living areas. Two units provide accommodation for physically dependent older people, another unit for the dementia care where a dedicated staff team have been trained to a high standard to provide an innovative approach to the care residents receive. A respite care facility is also available.
Two units contain a lounge and dining area with fully fitted kitchen, whilst the third unit contains 3 small kitchen/dining areas adjoining the bedrooms.
Each unit has a specially adapted bedroom with an overhead hoist and integrated bathroom, domestic laundry rooms and generous storage space.
All bedrooms are fully furnished with co-ordinating fixtures and fittings together with en suite toilet facilities and a sink unit. The majority of bedrooms also have en-suite shower rooms, adapted bathrooms are provided if residents would prefer. Each bedroom has its own telephone socket. A high degree of privacy and security is supported by the provision of lockable doors and furniture. Residents are encouraged to bring their own personal possessions.
A communal dining area and lounges are also situated in Cwmbran House. All rooms are fitted with an ‘assistance call system’ to summon support when required.
