Glanmorfa Residential Home

Glanmorfa accommodates residents in single rooms, nine of which have en-suite facilities. The home also offers two lounge areas for residents to use.

The gardens are designed to stimulate and encourage residents to enjoy the outdoor space, with the aroma of plants, herbs, and the sound of nature. Residents are supported to have as much input into the garden area as they wish, with a team of activities coordinators available to help them achieve this.

A purpose-built semi-independent flat is also available, comprising a large bedroom with en-suite facilities, a separate private lounge area with galley kitchen, and patio doors leading onto a safe and easily accessible patio area. The room is attached to the home and benefits from 24-hour care, with all call systems and alarms required by regulations.

A new hydrotherapy centre has been built in the grounds and is staffed by qualified therapists. Residents can access this facility through an appointment system.

The home is situated in the heart of the historic town of Kidwelly, with the world-famous Kidwelly Castle within walking distance. Local amenities are easily accessible, and transport links by bus and train allow residents to spend time in Carmarthen, Swansea, or Llanelli. The award-winning Pembrey Country Park and beach are nearby, while Tenby and the Gower coastline are just a short journey away.

Glanmorfa provides a stimulating and therapeutic approach to care, with a person-centred outlook supported by a team comprising neuro-physiotherapy, exercise therapy, and one-to-one activities.

With over twenty-five years of experience in providing rehabilitation to brain-injured patients, the team believes that achieving quality of life is essential to overcoming challenges, and that residents should have as much input as possible into their own future in order to achieve their goals.
