Medhurst Care Home provides high-quality residential care for up to 27 people. Located in Risca, Medhurst began life as a family home in the 1930s when it was built by a local landowner and given to his daughter as a wedding gift. The property was purchased by the Docherty family in 1987 and subsequently converted and extended into the care home it is today.

The professional, fully trained staff ensure that each resident’s lifestyle choices and dignity are respected. Overseen by an experienced and highly visible Home Manager, residents receive 24/7 personal care from a skilled team of senior carers and care assistants. While care is provided for residents with more advanced health conditions, Medhurst also offers an ideal environment for active, independent older people who enjoy being part of a community.
