Parklands offers accommodation for individuals with learning disabilities who may also have physical disabilities. There are five single bedrooms; one has a ceiling track hoist and is en-suite. Parklands is a detached bungalow with parking facilities and a private garden to the rear with a patio area and lawn. The service offers a dining room, kitchen, large lounge and utility room. Parklands is situated in Malpas, a quiet area of the city of Newport that is within walking distance to local shops, public houses, the Church and local GP surgeries. Individuals are encouraged to participate in various activities, meals out, cinema visits, musical shows and day trips. People who use the service are encouraged to do their own personal shopping and also enjoy therapeutic activities.
