Penpergwm House, which means ‘house at the head of the wooded valley’, is a very special Care Home providing a superior choice of services to cater for all your needs. Set in the tranquil heart of the beautiful Usk valley and neighbouring the lively market town of Abergavenny in Monmouthshire, Penpergwm House can offer its residential clients a true feeling of home in a rural idyll as well as being able to present the alternatives of our Day Care Service at Penpergwm House or Penpergwm Home Care for those who would prefer support in their own home.
We have wonderful rooms to accommodate up to 34 clients which are very well equipped and provide both comfort and surroundings that clients can feel at home with. Our professional and caring staff are on hand to assist with each individual’s needs, as well as residents also benefitting from regular visits from a wide range of healthcare professionals when they are required.
At Penpergwm House we pride ourselves in the outstanding weekly programme of activities available to both our Residential and Day Care clients. The Activities team work very hard to provide both lifelong learning opportunities and entertaining socialisation practises. Our program of weekly events and activities clearly demonstrate an understanding and inclusion of the needs of all our clients. We have a brand new Events Studio that gives the perfect space and facility to accommodate a whole range of activities, recitals and guest speakers. We also take weekly trips out to a variety of places including visiting theatres, country gardens, churches and museums.
