St David’s Hospice Care is a charitable organisation providing comprehensive palliative care to patients, their families, and carers facing life-limiting illnesses.
The organisation offers a wide range of expert services, specialising in pain relief and symptom control to help people live as fully and comfortably as possible. These services are delivered either in the comfort of patients’ homes or within St David’s purpose-built in-patient hospice. St David’s Hospice Care is founded on the belief that everyone should have access to high-quality, compassionate palliative and end-of-life care, whenever and wherever it is needed. All services are provided free of charge.
Since its first year of operation, when care was provided to just six patients, St David’s has grown to become one of the UK’s largest providers of hospice-at-home care. Today, the organisation supports more than 3,200 patients and families every year, serving communities across South East Wales—including Newport, Caerphilly, Torfaen, Monmouthshire, as well as Mid and South Powys.
