Set in beautiful grounds in a quiet residential area of the market town of Mold, The Cottage provides a warm and caring home away from home for residents and their families alike. Originally built as a private school, the home has been extensively renovated and extended over the years, whilst still retaining its original character. We always encourage potential residents or their representative to visit the home to experience the atmosphere and level of service.
Accommodation:
The home currently has 46 single bedrooms, with 40 of these including en-suite facilities. 3 shared rooms are also available. Bathing/shower facilities are located on each floor and are complimented with bath hoists, shower chairs and disabled toilets.
Shared Living Spaces:
The home’s extensive communal spaces include three lounges, a dining area and two conservatory rooms, all of which are centrally heated. Residents are encouraged to use these public rooms; but always have the choice to stay in their own bedroom if they wish so.
Dementia Care Room:
We specialize in providing the highest standard of care for residents with dementia, who benefit from our purpose-designed “Blossom” lounge sensory room. Our House Manager is the Chairperson of the local Dementia Friendly Mold committee and we are actively working towards Dementia Friendly designation for the home.
The Garden:
Our award-winning and wheelchair accessible garden is available for the enjoyment of all residents and visitors. Enjoy the many different features, such as fish pond, rockery, flower beds and the variety of seating areas, including a cosy summer house.
