May news update for LAC group
A meeting is planned between the LAC Group, chaired by Steve Elliott, pictured, and the Princes' Trust to explore the development of a service level agreement
Work on collaborating Wrexham Youth Justice Team has seen a joint protocol developed between the Youth Justice Service and Children’s Homes in North Wales which is about to receive the final sign off and launch.
The Charter for Looked After Children and Care Leavers is still developing – some very helpful feedback has been received from ADSS although feedback is still awaited from WLGA.
Links with the Children’s Social Care Research Centre for Wales (based at Cardiff University) are developing. A formal launch of the ‘CASCADE’ centre takes place on May 22. Steve Elliott is to meet Sally Holland (of the Centre) and John Diamond of the National Centre on June 9to build on linking the LAC Network with both centres.
