January news from the LAC Network
LAC Network forges new links – the LAC’s Steve Elliott is meeting the National Centre for Therapeutic Residential Childcare and Foster Care centre’s chief executive John Diamond and Cardiff University’s Sally Holland (who is setting up a Children’s Social Care Research Centre for Wales) in February to explore future collaboration. The LAC Network is now formally aligned with the Oxfordshire centre.
LAC charts milestones and achievements – we are developing a document to chart the achievements of the LAC Network since it was established in 2009. It will be published on the CFW web site in February.
Working with Wrexham’s Youth Justice Service – we have agreed to hold meetings with the Wrexham Youth Justice Service to help improve the way residential settings work with the Youth Justice Service to improve outcomes for young people at risk of offending.
