Rugby star helps raise awareness of pressure ulcers ahead of STOP Pressure Ulcer day

Wales rugby star Sam Warburton is supporting this year's World STOP Pressure Ulcer day on November 19. The day is being promoted by the European Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel and it is hoped that care providers and organisations will put on awareness-raising events in support of the day.

The organisers of Stop Pressure Ulcer Day would like as many organisations as possible to host educational activities on prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers. Care Forum Wales organiser Melanie Minty said there were plans to include an awareness raising event at the next Nurses Forum, due to be held in November.
